      Coursework Agreement

      Au Pair Weekend (APW) courses are designed to help au pairs receive their education requirement credits through accredited universities. These courses will allow you to earn either 36, 60, or 72 hours for each course and will include online coursework using Canvas, and in some instances, a live component taught in-person or via Zoom. 

      Disclaimer: Scheduled activities during an in-person weekend may be subject to change and may be different from the activities that were offered during an earlier weekend.  Last minute changes are possible due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

      Please make note of when you need your Completion Letter and plan accordingly. Expect to spend one hour of your time for every educational hour that is required. You may request your Completion Letter as soon as all assignments, course requirements, and applicable live components are complete.

      Again, though some of our courses are self-paced, some also have live components, and some are in-person. We recommend that you check with your program coordinator or contact us via our contact form (https://www.aupairclasses.org/contact) if you have any questions about this in order to give yourself plenty of time to complete all coursework. 

      *Remember for 36 hour in-person courses you will receive an email inviting you to your Canvas education course(s) 3 weeks before the scheduled weekend, and for 72 hour in-person courses you will receive an email inviting you to your Canvas education course(s) 4 weeks before the scheduled weekend. If your course is "open enrollment" you will receive a link inviting you to your course within 48 business hours (Monday - Friday) after registering. Please check your registration email or reach out to your program coordinator for more information. 

      Attendance Policy

      Our courses are a fun but intensive educational experience! It is critical that you arrive for classes and activities on time and stay for the entire period. 

      • All in-person and remote learning class time is mandatory. If you do not attend all scheduled class and activity hours you will not be eligible to receive your course completion letter.

      • If you are late to class or leave early during an in-person weekend you will not be eligible to receive your completion letter.

      • Travel arrangements or work commitments are not accepted as excuses for missing class hours. 
      • Please note: Alcohol and drug use are not permitted during class hours.

      Technology Requirement

      For online coursework students will be required to have access to a tablet or computer with a camera, and internet access for the whole duration of the course. If you will not have access to a laptop or a tablet for the duration of the course, please contact the program coordinator before completing registration so we can work together to find a solution for your situation.

      Registration Privacy Policy

      I, the student, agree that APW may contact me through the email or phone number provided and may share my registration and academic information with my Host Family, Local/Area Coordinator, accrediting university, and/or Visa Sponsoring Agency as previously listed in this registration. This information may also be shared with Au Pair Weekend's partners/agents such as accrediting universities and technology partners like Canvas (learning management), Regfox (registration), WePay (billing), or Hubspot (CRM). I understand that APW will limit any sharing of personal or sensitive information when possible, and that APW will never sell any personal information. 

      I also understand and agree that during this course or program for which I am enrolled at Au Pair Weekend, photographs and/or video or audio recordings may be taken of my voice or image for educational, marketing, promotional, or related purposes. I hereby grant to Au Pair Weekend and their partners/agents a non-exclusive license and right to use excerpts or completed works that may contain either an audio or video representation of myself, completed/non-completed coursework, photographs submitted as assignments, or art created for the course. I agree and understand that Au Pair Weekend and the partners of APW may retain full ownership and usage rights of any photographs taken of me (including digital, transparency, print and/or negative format) in still, single, multiple, moving or video format, as well as full ownership and usage rights of any completed/non-completed coursework, photographs submitted as assignments, or art created for the course.

      This release and consent also includes, but is not limited to the following: 

      • Au Pair Weekend (APW) can make and copyright text, photographs, audio and/or video recordings of my image and voice, completed/non-completed coursework, photographs submitted as assignments, or art created for the course as part of Au Pair Weekend’s educational and related purposes. 
      • APW can use, produce, modify, distribute, and disseminate such materials and projects in any form, manner, or mode of electronic transmission for educational or related purposes.  
      • I allow the use of images of myself, completed/non-completed coursework, photographs submitted as assignments, or art created for the course for the following purposes: advertising, promotion, marketing, social media, branding or reference service. 
      • I agree that I will receive no money or consideration of any kind for usage of images or video from Au Pair Weekend and partners related to this consent and release, and that I will make no further claim for any reason to Au Pair Weekend and/or its assigns and partners.
